Wildflowers Class - Spring Series
Our Wildflowers Series is designed for babies to start when they are between 9-12 months old.
One of our primary goals for this series (and really all of them) is to build a strong foundation for connecting with your baby and supporting their development through play. Emphasis during this series is placed on allowing independent exploration, fostering problem solving skills, and learning about more sophisticated styles of play.
Throughout the 10 week series you will learn beneficial activities for your baby to play in and how to engage them through developmentally appropriate play and songs.
Each class follows a similar structure:
Welcome songs and settling in
Music and Movement (developmentally appropriate songs and positions for your baby)
Parachute Play
Developmental Topic with time to play and practice
High’s & Low’s- Time for moms to chat, share, breathe, and give/receive advice
Bubbles and Bye bye’s
The following are developmental topics we cover in our Wildflower class:
Developmental overview and our favorite toys & books for this stage of development
Walking 101: Is baby ready? Play activities to encourage standing and walking
Baby’s first words
Parents as Play Partners: Types of play and letting baby take the lead
Sensorimotor Play & keeping play pressure free
Constructive Play, problem solving, and embracing imperfection
Active Exploratory Play and strategies to encourage and nurture motor skills
Imitative play: Modeling and strategies for building speech and communication skills

A Quick Note…
Within each class there will be time and space to play freely with your baby, implementing the strategies from the topics we cover. It is truly our goal that you can take something tangible from each class and become confident in connecting and play with your baby.
We will also save time and space for each mom to share freely what is going well in their motherhood journey, and what might feel like a struggle. We aim to create a brave space where you feel supported and validated.
We can’t wait for you and your baby to join us!
