Join us every Wednesday at 12-1pm at Holy Cross Church in Livermore for a 10 week series from March 19th-May 28th. No classes will be held the first week of April due to Spring Break.

Our Buds & Blossoms Series is designed for babies to start when they are between 6-9 months old.

One of our primary goals for this series (and really all of them) is to build a strong foundation for connecting with your baby and supporting their development through play.

Emphasis during this series is placed on allowing independent exploration, fostering problem solving skills, and learning about more sophisticated styles of play.

Throughout the 10 week series you will learn beneficial activities for your baby to play in and how to engage them through developmentally appropriate play and songs.

Each class follows a similar structure:

  • Welcome songs and settling in

  • Music and Movement (developmentally appropriate songs and positions for your baby)

  • Parachute Play

  • Developmental Topic with time to play and practice

  • High’s & Low’s- Time for moms to chat, share, breathe, and give/receive advice

  • Bubbles and Bye bye’s

We will also be covering different topics that may include:

  • Developmental overview and toys and books we love for this stage

  • The key to help baby move independently: Transitions

  • Building language skills during functional play

  • Crawling 101

  • Baby Sign language

  • Fine motor development and playful practice

  • Should my baby be standing? Signs of readiness and when/how to encourage it.

  • Risky play, climbing, and teaching baby safe strategies for getting down

  • Music play: Benefits and fun with language and songs
